I'd go for fruit snacks - Betty Crocker has a Scooby Doo one that I give my son all the time. Other options are fruit roll-ups, snack-size chewy granola bars, Smarties. I used to work where they sold it and people would come back and buy more. You are better off giving pencils or erasers something non candy at all.
