I need to bring a chocolate something-or-other to a wine and cheese event. It’s just a casual get together, not a wine tasting event, but I want to bring something classy and tasteful. Would anyone like to share their favorite chocolate dessert recipe with me? Thanks so much!

Chocolate fondue is excellent for this kind of event. There are specialized fondue pots, but a crock pot will work just fine. Get a quantity of chocolate candy (bars, chips, etc.) and put them in the pot and turn on the heat. Your chocolate can be of any type (milk, dark, special dark, etc.), but don’t use any with nuts, fruit, or other filler ingredients because they will just separate and won’t be used.
Provide a platter with various things to dip into the chocolate (fruit pieces, marshmallows, etc.). My favorite is strawberries. Also provide toothpicks for spearing the pieces and dipping into the chocolate. Make sure there are plenty of napkins, as melted chocolate can get messy. Messy or not, a chocolate fondue is always a big hit. Enjoy.
You could make mini cupcakes with cream cheese icing or chocolate dip with fruit, pineapple, strawberries, etc.
