Low Carb “No Bake” Cheesecake

This is my first video in 2007, and I return to the kitchen in making my favorite new dessert, a low carb non-bake cheesecake. This cheesecake is better than any no-bake cheesecake mix that you would buy in the store. You have to try this one. Recipe: (courtesy of Linda’s Low Carb) www.genaw.com CREAMY NO-BAKE CHEESECAKE 1 packet unflavored gelatin 3/4 cup vanilla flavored sugar free syrup 24 ounces cream cheese, softened 1 cup heavy cream, whipped “Graham Cracker” Pie Crust * Prepare crust according to recipe for baked crust. In a small pot, sprinkle gelatin over 1/2 cup syrup and let soften 5 minutes. Heat and stir over low heat to dissolve gelatin completely. Beat cream cheese with remaining 1/4 cup syrup until creamy. Gradually beat in gelatin mixture. Chill until slightly thickened, about 1 hour, gently whisking occasionally to prevent lumps. Fold in whipped cream. Pour into crust and chill until set. Mine looked set after 2 hours, but I recommend chilling at least 6 hours. Dusty,
If you haven’t read up on the science behind how lc works, then you don’t “understand the whole carb thing”. As for apples, they are surprisingly high carb.

    for example,
your right in many of your points,
same as ‘if a recipe takes longer tha 30mins, im unlikely to make it’ i think many here would agree with that as well!

but thumbs up for the low-carb!

Thanks for watching and commenting! This is a super simple recipe that is so adaptable to different tastes as well. I actually made this last night parfait with a hint of SF Strawberry jam. (a night OWL treat)

Low Carb ain’t Atkins. There’s no ketosis, which is taken as the main aspekt of atkins diet. Atkins = No Carb.

  5. davidatwork says:

Kuchenrolle, that is only for the first two weeks. then you start taking in carbs. Atkins does not = no carbs that is only for the first two weeks then you move into a low carb diet. to maintain the weight lost. I know how Ketosis is acieved. Lived it all. have maintained my weight. Some people think you it is an all meat diet. Not true.

What’s the name of your blender? I would like to order one :)

  7. sw33tlildreamerx says:

Have you even read the book? Atkins does not equal no carb. And you certainly can get into ketosis with low carb.

    It’s a Kenmore.

I just made this and it is hands down awesome! I am the only one in the family doing atkins but they all loved it too! Thanks for sharing the recipe and video!

Thanks for the feedback. This really is a simple great tasting dessert. You don’t even have to tell others its low carb. :-)

I think I will try this Saturday to go with my diet coke hot wings! Thanks Kent!

Atkins is not= zero carbs. even during induction, you are allowed 20grams of carbs a day:) without carbs you will have no energy.

  13. violinist881 says:

hey, I’d like to share with you some ingredients you could add to make it more creative:) in this cheesecake you could add some strawberry jello mix and you don’t have to add geletine:) and it becomes strawberry cheesecake:) and you can add coffee powder, and it becomes coffee cheesecake:) I just can’t live without cheesecakes lol:D try it and i hope you enjoy it;) cheers

  14. violinist881 says:

sorry, If I didn’t explain clearly, make sure the jello you are using is sugar free jello!:) and mix it with hot water just like you were making jello jelly then pour it in the strawberry cheesecake mix. you can also pour a layer of strawberry mix after the cheese cake is chilled just to have the layer of jelly on top like a fruit cake:)

  15. Kuchenrolle says:

That’s just a load of crap. You don’t need carbs to have “energy”, whatever that’s supposed to mean. And your brain will be supllied via ketosis.

And “No Carb” ist a dietary form, which pretty much means carbs < 50g and is not the same as "zero carbs". Do your homework before you post.

  16. violinist881 says:

right, and you can explain nicely instead of being so rude thanks. and in this diet, you get your energy from fats more than your carbs. and yes I did my homework and i know about the ketosis thing…..

An even easier low carb cheesecake. Mix 8 oz of cream cheese, 1 bowl of cool whip, 1 8oz carton of sour cream, 1/2 cup splenda and 1 tsp vanilla. Blend well and chill and enjoy.

    thx. great recipe!

I am glad you like it!

  20. ClaireSuperNana says:

Sounds pretty fattening to me, no?

  21. bowulf says:

@ClaireSuperNana Considering that on a low carb diet that you are supposed to fuel yourself with dietary fat, eating enough fat is a good thing.

  22. teawhy222 says:

great recipe. I forgot to add the whipping cream before pouring it onto the crust. It still taste great, but I can only eat a small piece or it just becomes too much. Overall, this is a great recipe and better than any no bake I have ever tasted.

  23. bowulf says:

@teawhy222 Thanks, and I am glad you liked it.

@bowulf — Hello. Can you please help me find your menu blog. I tried to follow directions you gave someone else but for the life of me I can’t figure it out. I’m new to YouTube so I don’t know the tricks. I really need to put together some kind of starting point. I should mention that I am learning to cook as well. : )
